After giving me stitches for a self-inflicted cut on my wrist that was too deep, my GP gave me the diagnosis of "Severe Emotional/Psychological Anxiety, Distress and Depressed Mood" and gave me an entire month off school.

She’s arranged with my mother for me to see a psychologist.

Firstly, what does that diagnosis mean?
And secondly, what will the psychologist do with me? What kind of questions will she ask? etc
